About Us
An incorporated not-for-profit organization, Hospitality Saint John Inc. is the voice of the hospitality industry in Greater Saint John.
An initiative and successful partnership of industry members for nearly 20 years, HSJ has long been an example of industry cooperation envied by other regions and industry groups.
In addition to nurturing positive relationships with media and government contacts which ensure that our voice is heard, HSJ also promotes industry interests through a number of special projects. Tourism Awareness Week focuses public attention of the vital contribution hospitality businesses make to the local economy and the Greater Saint John Tourism Awards provides us the opportunity to recognize and promote our many noteworthy success stories.
Structure
Membership meetings are held six to eight times each year, during the lunch hour at a variety of venues. Member properties usually play host but not just the hotels. Expect to experience some non-conventional meeting sites.
Between membership meetings the Board of Directors and Executive - usually about 12 representatives elected annually from among the membership - meet regularly to monitor and address issues, coordinate subcommittee work and
when necessary, gather membership input on
issues or projects.
